The City of Fairhope, as a recipient of Federal financial assistance and under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes, ensures that no person shall on the grounds of race, income status, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination or retaliation under any federally or non-federally funded City programs or activities administered by the City or its contractors.

City of Fairhope / James P. Nix Center operates its programs without regard to race, color, and national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with the City of Fairhope / James P. Nix Center.

Filing a Complaint
Any person who feels he or she has been discriminated against may file a complaint. All complaints must be in writing and mailed to:

Complaints will be forwarded to the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) for investigation within 10 calendar days of receipt.
