Fairhope Recreation Services Privacy Policy

City of Fairhope Recreation Services may collect information needed to manage memberships, facility access, payments, programs, check-ins, and member communications.

• Name, household, address, phone number, and email address.
• Birthday, emergency contact, interests, and service access details.
• Membership status, renewal dates, balances, visit history, and staff notes.
• Member photos and badge or wallet identifiers used for check-in.
• Text messaging consent status and communication preferences.

• Create and manage member accounts for City recreation services.
• Confirm identity during check-in and front desk service.
• Process memberships, renewals, balances, and receipts.
• Send service-related notices about memberships, programs, facilities, and account activity.
• Support safety, audit, reporting, and customer service needs.

Members may choose to receive SMS or MMS messages from City of Fairhope Recreation Services. Consent is not required to purchase a membership or use City recreation services. The opt-in process is described at /sms-opt-in.

Message frequency varies based on account activity, program registrations, facility updates, and renewal needs. Message and data rates may apply. Members may reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and text message consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers may process mobile information only as needed to operate the messaging service for City of Fairhope Recreation Services.

Member photos and wallet or QR credential IDs are used to help verify member identity, support check-in, and prevent account misuse. These identifiers are used for membership operations and are not sold.

Payment records may be stored for accounting and membership history. City of Fairhope Recreation Services does not intend to store full credit card numbers in the membership system. Card payment details are handled by the payment processor.

Member information may be shared with authorized City staff, departments, and service providers only as needed to operate the membership program, process payments, send communications, maintain records, meet legal requirements, or protect City systems and users.
