Fairhope Recreation Services Messaging Terms

These terms describe the City of Fairhope Recreation Services text messaging program for members who choose to receive SMS or MMS notifications.

Program Name

City of Fairhope Recreation Services.

Program Description

City of Fairhope Recreation Services sends low-volume text messages to opted-in members about recreation memberships and services, including the Nix Center, Recreation Center, Tennis Center, and Golf Course.

  • Membership renewal reminders.
  • Payment or balance notices.
  • Facility schedule updates and closures.
  • Class, program, lesson, league, event, or reservation reminders.
  • Service alerts and staff responses to member questions.

Opt In

Members may opt in during in-person account registration, membership purchase, or membership renewal at City recreation facilities. Members may also opt in on printed membership forms by providing a mobile number and checking the SMS consent box. The checkbox is not preselected.

Consent to receive text messages is not required to purchase a membership or use City recreation services.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on member account activity, program registrations, renewal needs, and facility updates. Members will typically receive no more than 6 messages per month, although urgent facility notices or active program registrations may result in additional messages.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply. Charges are billed by your mobile carrier and are not charged by City of Fairhope Recreation Services.

Opt Out

You can cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP. After you reply STOP, you may receive a final confirmation message and will no longer receive text messages from this program unless you opt in again.

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery may depend on your mobile carrier, device, and network availability.
